My name is Marina Pettersson and I live in Hagfors, Sweden, together with my son, our four Norwegian Forest Cats, two Borzois, one Scottish Deerhound and one Bedlington Terrier. Since childhood I have been living with dogs and cats, and in parts of the time also with other animals. I came in contact with the Norwegian Forest Cat in the beginning of the 1980's, when I got my first one: Annie.

Annie came to the family as a kittenand the purpose with chosing a Norwegian was to get a calm and mentally stable katt-friend to our Estrela Mountain Dog female, who did not want to be left alone when I went to work. It worked perfectly, and since then I have beenhooked on this breed! Annie became the first self-white Norwegian Forest Cat female to be aproved for breeding, and eventually she was International Champion and International Premier. Annie is also the cat who gave me the name I breed under, Anniehood's, for my cattery as well as for my kennel.

Annie is the foundation female and behind the lines I am still breeding on, with the aim to keep the big and in all respects sound forest cat. In my view Norwegian Forest Cats must be a mentally stabil, calm and big cat who loves his family more than anything else. They co-exists easily with all other kinds of animals and have a selfconfident stable temperament.
